According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of June 30, 2018, 41,609 Hispanics in the city tested positive for the disease. The president of the Latino Commission on AIDS, Guillermo Chacón, said that “we have to intensify our work to raise awareness and support the population living with this disease.”
