A recent breakthrough in HIV treatment is making the virus nearly undetectable.The “U equals U” campaign started about two years ago, and it is a huge step in wiping out HIV. According to the Centers for Disease Control, “People who take ART daily as prescribed and achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load have effectively no risk of transmitting the virus to an HIV-negative partner.” And with advancements in HIV treatment and medication, those living with HIV, can get to a point where they can’t transmit the virus.
