VIDA’s 10-Year Anniversary / National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day / Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

October 15, 2023 @ 10:00 am

Gratis

Since its conception, VIDA, a non-profit organization focusing on LGBTQ+ Latinx folks, providing education, open dialogue, and strong
role models in the fight against HIV among other amazing community activities. VIDA has been providing Self Collect HIV Tests to
the community and then linking them to appropriate Prevention or Treatment services with various organizations (e.g., UCSD, SYH,
VCC, TrueCare, MCAP, La Maestra and AHF, The Center, etc.).
Since its formation almost ten years ago, VIDA has worked hard to provide HIV education to help reduce and hopefully eliminate HIV
among Latinx communities. VIDA does this in many ways, including informational booths at events all over San Diego including Latinx
Pride, National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day, and Out at the Fair. VIDA’s team of staff and volunteers provide services after traditional
work hours including evenings and weekends at different sites where the need is greatest in the County of San Diego and now
expanding to Orange County and Inland Empire.
We would like to ask you to join us in celebrating our 10-year anniversary while we commemorate National Latinx HIV/AIDS
Awareness Day and National Hispanic Heritage month on Sunday, October 15th. Please see the save the date flyer attached and the
month long of celebratory activities
