“Elimina Estigma: Addressing the Barriers to Care in Our Communities”

The National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) is hosting a Twitter “X” Chat, to observe National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day(October 15) for its 20th year anniversary on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 at 1p ET. As Hispanic Heritage Month is coming to a close, we will be honoring awareness of HIV stigma and addressing the disproportionate impact of HIV on Hispanic/Latino communities. We are calling it, “Elimina Stigma: Addressing the Barriers to Care in Our Communities”. Our Twitter chat will focus on the impact primary
care providers, community health organizations, and LGBTQ+ health experts have on reducing stigma in Latinx communities to further support efforts of prevention, treatment, and care.
