October 15 is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). On #NLAAD, we highlight the disproportionate impact of HIV on our Hispanic/Latinx community. This #NLAAD, let’s promote HIV testing, stop HIV stigma, and mobilize community efforts to prevent, treat, and stop the spread of HIV among Hispanic/Latinx individuals. 
If HIV is not treated, it can progress to AIDS. It is important that we quickly link those living with HIV to care and treatment to live long healthier lives and achieve an undetectable viral load- where the virus in your blood is so low that it can’t be detected and cannot be transmitted to others. While we’ve made significant strides in the fight against HIV/AIDS, there’s still work to do.
