NLAAD

National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is observed annually on October 15 to raise awareness about the disproportionate impact of HIV on Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States. HIV infection rates among Latinx individuals are higher than the national average. Factors contributing to this disparity include cultural stigma, lack of access to healthcare, and socioeconomic disparities. NLAAD aims to address these issues and improve HIV outcomes within the Latinx community.
