NBational Latinx HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

October 15
Free

Today is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (hashtagNLAAD), a day to promote HIV testing, prevention, and treatment within Hispanic/Latino/Latina communities.

In 2023, Hispanic people accounted for over one-third of new HIV diagnoses in the U.S., despite making up only 19% of the population.

This year’s theme, “Should I get tested for HIV? YES!”, highlights the urgent need to address the stigma, language barriers, and limited access to care that contribute to this disparity.

Knowledge is power. Testing is prevention. Treatment is life.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Should I get tested for HIV?” the answer is yes! Know your status, get tested today with us at our SHELL Health Clinic. www.shellhealth.org
