October 15 has been nationally recognized as Latinx HIV/AIDS Awareness Day since 2003. HIV/AIDS disproportionately affects our Hispanic/Latinx communities — and many may not be aware of available services due to language barriers, limited mobility (transportation, etc.), and lack of familiarity with community public health resources, among other factors.
