There will be food\, music\, swag\, and free rapid HIV & STI testing! \nNational Latino AIDS Awareness Day is a national community mobilization and social marketing campaign that unites the Hispanic/Latino community in efforts to raise HIV awareness\, promotion of HIV testing\, prevention\, and education; in addition to other critical health issues such as viral hepatitis\, sexually transmitted infections (STIs)\, and tuberculosis (TB). \nAnnually National Latino AIDS Awareness Day mobilizes community based organizations\, leaders of the Latino community\, health departments\, and elected officials to spread awareness within the Latino community about HIV&AIDS\, and bring about improvements in HIV related health practices by building capacity\, developing and disseminated resources\, utilizing media channels\, and casting the spotlight on Latino faces behind the epidemic. \nThis will be a great time to share space and come together. We are going to food and beverages! Grab some free condoms\, lube and information about fabulous programs that we have here at GALAEI! We would love to see your beautiful faces!

DESCRIPTION:This year with the support of our community partners\, “Fiesta de la Salud” will take place at St. John Bosco Church located at 1349 W. Flagler Street Miami\, FL 33135 from 12:30PM to 5:00PM. There will be community resources highlighting top issues affecting our Latino communities in Miami-Dade\, guest speakers\, free health screenings via mobile units for adults and children\, cultural performances and raffles. We will also have free food and parking available. The entire community will be invited to participate and our goal will be to do 100 HIV tests! We hope you can join us for this event and help us stop the stigma and begin the conversation about this important health issue affecting our Latino/Hispanic community in Miami-Dade.
