SUMMARY:La Fiesta del Barrio
DESCRIPTION:La Fiesta del Barrio is a fun\, health-centered\, cultural block party that brings our community together. We haven’t been able to have it since 2019\, and this year it’s especially significant as we celebrate our 40 years with the community that has made that possible. It truly is about bringing greater visibility to the strength and beauty of our Latinx communities while raising critical funds that not only help the patients we take care of but the whole community. The event will take place between 11am and 4pm. \nThe Fiesta will have zones focused on inclusion\, community\, and family! As attendees will be able to engage in an overall celebration of Mind (good emotional and mental health)\, Body (good physical health including exercise and food choices)\, and Spirit (community\, togetherness\, and inclusivity). There will be specific areas to celebrate children and seniors and activities for all ages\, including “lotería” and intergenerational games\, storytelling\, healthy food demonstrations\, 20+ exhibitors/Latinx & Local artisans\, Pride Gallery\, interactive community art\, exhibits on Latino culture\, and health screenings. A main stage will include performances that reflect the diversity of the Latinx community\, along with fun activities and appearances by special guests.
