DESCRIPTION:The Fight Against HIV Continues! Did you know that Mixteca Organization was formed in 2000 through an awareness campaign on the prevention and education of HIV and AIDS? In commemoration of October 15th\, which is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD)\, Mixteca will be providing educational talks to break myths about HIV and AIDS and raise awareness on advances in prevention\, detection and treatment of the virus. These talks will be provided by experts from the organization\, Aid for Aids and we will be giving away prize bags for people who take the test! Knowledge is power. Promoting the sexual and reproductive well-being of our Latinx Spanish-speaking community creates healthier relationships. \nSabías que la organización Mixteca se formó en el año 2000 a través de una campaña sobre la prevención y educación del VIH y la SIDA? En conmemoración del 15 de octubre\, que es el Día Nacional de Concientización sobre el SIDA Latinx (NLAAD)\, Mixteca estará proveyendo charlas educativas para romper mitos sobre el VIH y la SIDA y para crear conciencia sobre los avances en prevención\, detección y tratamiento del virus. Estas charlas serán proporcionadas por expertos de la organización\, Aid for Aids !y estaremos regalando bolsitas de premios para las personas que se hagan la prueba! La educación es poder. Promoviendo el bienestar sexual y reproductivo de nuestra comunidad latinoamericana y hispanohablante crea relaciones más sanas.
