DESCRIPTION:Join community based organizations\, community members\, and advocates from across North Carolina to commemorate National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day. We’ll remember those we’ve lost\, but also look to the future toward the policies needed to address HIV disparities in the Latinx Closing the Medicaid gap is one tool that would help address disparities and provide access to healthcare for over a thousand North Carolinians living with HIV. \nOctober 15 marks the 16th year for National Latinx HIV Awareness DAY (NLAAD)\, a national HIV testing and treatment community mobilization initiative targeted at Latinx in the United States and the Diaspora. NLAAD was founded in 2003 as a national national community mobilization and social marketing campaign to unite the Hispanic/Latino community in efforts to raise HIV awareness\, promotion of HIV testing\, prevention\, and education. DESCRIPTION:Since June 5\, 1981\, the number of Latino men and women who have died from AIDS and / or the complications resulting from the disease is 125\,051+. Even more staggering\, there are 250\,671+ Latino men and women living with HIV / AIDS. VIDA’s focus is to reduce the incidences of HIV within the Latino community. Medical science has advanced by leaps and bounds in treating and prolonging a good quality of life for those already infected with the virus\, but more needs to be done to prevent future infection. \nPlease join us on Saturday\, October 15\, 2016\, the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States\, as we observe National Latino AIDS Awareness Day with a memorial service to all those lives impacted by HIV / AIDS. \nDesde Junio 6 del año de 1981\, el número de hombres y mujeres latinos que hon muerto de AIDS o de complicaciones resultadas de esta enfermedad es de 125\,061 y más. Lo que preocupa más es que hay más de 250\,671 hombres y mujeres latinos que viven con HIV y AIDS. El propósito de VIDA es reducir la propagación del en la comunidad latina. La ciencia médica ha avanzado\, pasó a paso\, a pesar de muchos tropiezos\, a tratar de prolongar la calidad de vida de aquellos que ya están infectados con el virus\, pero se necesita hacer más para prevenir futuras infecciones. \nPor favor reunamosno el 15 de Octubre próximo\, que es aquí en los Estados Unidos\, el último día en que se celebra la Herencia Hispana\, así como nosotros que celebramos el día Nacional Latino de hacer conciencia de los problemas del AIDS\, tendremos un Servicio de Recordación para todos aquellos que han sido impactados con HIV / AIDS.
